Parenting Through the Pain of Addiction

Being the parent of a drug addict is a heart-wrenching, isolating experience. It’s a reality no one prepares for – a mix of fear, guilt, anger, and relentless hope. Watching your child struggle with addiction feels like losing them piece by piece to a disease that refuses to let go. Yet, amid the darkness, many…

    Tis the Season for Commercialism

Every year, as the holiday season rolls in, we’re bombarded with flashing sales signs, endless gift guides, and the constant hum of “buy more, spend more.” It’s easy to get swept up in the whirlwind of commercialism, losing sight of what Christmas is truly about. But beyond the noise of marketing campaigns and crowded shopping…

  • Why I Worry About Society

    Why I Worry About Society

As I observe the world around me, I can’t help but feel a growing sense of concern for the direction society is heading. Every era has its challenges, but today’s complexities seem to come at us faster and in greater numbers than ever before. While I believe in the resilience and potential of humanity, certain…

Getting Old: Embracing the Challenges of Aging

Aging is a universal experience, one that begins the moment we’re born. Yet, the challenges associated with getting older often catch us off guard, despite their inevitability. This is how it all started…

Since I was a young boy I’ve had a wild imagination and absolutely love telling people what I think (just ask my wife)! In my 20s I discovered blogging. In my 30s I discovered a passion for creative writing. Throughout my life everyone told me that I’m pretty opinionated, and honestly, they weren’t wrong. I have opinions about almost everything. Join me on my journey as I talk about everything from politics to new stories, family life to vacations, and everything in between.

Obligatory warning: This blog is not PC. While I am not intentionally offensive (usually), there will likely be things here that some may find offensive. If you’re easily offended, I only have this to say: either suck it up, or move along!
